Robert J. Gitter, Ph.D, Wisconsin.
Dr. Gitter's primary interests are in labor economics
and the economics of the public sector. He joined our
faculty in 1976. He has written several pieces on
worker training in the United States and Europe and
published and presented both in this country and
abroad. His most recent projects are being conducted
with a colleague from Germany and focus on employment
growth in the United States and on the causes of low
unemployment in the Czech Republic. He has also worked
with students to conduct and analyze surveys for the
local food pantry, art movie theater and after school
child care programs
